We should never desire to be over others. Instead, we ought to be servants who are submissive to every human being for God's sake.
Saint Francis of Assisi
The Summer Festival is Sacred Heart’s annual fundraiser as well as another way for us to reach out to our neighbors and try to foster good relationships. It has great food, adult beverages, a live band, a silent auction, and lots of kid’s games.
We always need lots of volunteers so if you are interested in helping out, contact the parish office or email email@example.com
The parish party is not a fundraiser but a way for Sacred Heart to get together and build community. We have it in January or February every year at the Livestock Exchange building in South Omaha. Come join your Sacred Heart family for a laid back evening of good food, drinks, music, and dancing.
Fr. Dave will also announce the annual Denny Holland Award and Pillar Award winners. To nominate someone for one of these awards, please click on the link here for a nomination form.
Sacred Heart considers itself one big family. A great way to support one another during our most difficult times is to join the funeral luncheon team. Sacred Heart needs parishioners to join the funeral luncheon team and help make sides and desserts for funerals. We also need a few people to volunteer at each luncheon to help serve people and clean up after it is over. If you want to get involved, contact Sue Vavak at the parish office or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
